Thing #7: Wikis

I heard of the name wikis's before but had no clue what they were! I could find this useful if everyone in your group knows how to use wiki's. I did not sign up at this time. I will though if I need to use. I did find the entry to Roselle, Illinois. I also did take a look at Schaumburg's 2.0. I think this would be a good idea to use a wiki, but in my case, I would get one of the last notations since I am finishing in April. Unless, someone is watching each day and getting the last word in. That would be interesting!!! Be back in a week to finish the last three hopefully before the end of April.

Thing #6: IM

This one I have used several times. However, I have never set my own contacts up. I have talked with Lynn Dennis several times when she was available even during off hours. I have seen this one several times on vendors' websites when you want to ask them an instant message to find one of their products.

I would use this one quite a bit!!!! Thanks, Lynn for being my buddy and walking me through!!

Thing #4: Flickr and Photo Sharing

I am speeding up. I just needed help from Beth on where to look for pictures since I did not have any that I use. When she showed me where to find them I thought I was all set. Until only the name of the picture showed up. I thought I was doing it wrong until Lynn Dennis said I should click the next button and the picture opened. Well at least I think I am posting this blog correctly with the pictures. We shall SEE!! I think I need a few more instructions. Just like driving just when I think I missed my destination the street was one up ahead. Hopefully, I will be back tomorrow. We shall SEE!!. Debbie

Thing #3: Social Networking

YEA!! I came back today. Posted on Facebook, but forgot my password. Lisa recommended a few weeks back to sign into LinkedIn. I really like Linkedin. I have located with some past co-workers who I have not corresponded with in 27 years. I would use Linkedin. I do not think I will use Facebook as much. Thanks, Lisa for recommending that I join LinkedIn! I would not have found it on my own.

Thing 2 RSS

I started Thing #2 in February and resumed in April. However, by the time I resumed I had to reread my password notes and refresh my mind by looking at the blog again. By the time I was ready to post this blog, I needed help from Karen. I could not remember what I had been doing. After she explained it to me it became clear.

Now to complete the next 8 hopefully by the end of this week. Let's see how it goes. Since this is all fresh in my mind it should go smooth. I'll let you know tomorrow.

So far so good! I should not boast, but so far this is as easy as 1-2-3. I am so glad to be learning this! Thank, you for the opportunity. I enjoy learning new things. I hope all goes uphill from here.
